Biography

Annexus Quam, a German music group from Kamp-Lintfort near Düsseldorf, was formed in September 1967 under the initial name Ambition of Music. The band was recognized for its unique sound that blended Krautrock with influences from jazz and psychedelic rock. The band's first single, "Kollodium," was included in the compilation Ohrenschmaus. In 1970, they renamed themselves Annexus Quam and released their debut album Osmose on the Ohr-Label. This album featured tracks such as "Osmose I" and "Osmose IV." In the same year, Annexus Quam performed at the Expo 70 in Osaka. Their second and final album, Beziehungen, was released in 1972, showcasing tracks like "Trobluhs el e isch" and "Dreh Dich nicht um." The group primarily performed at jazz festivals and disbanded shortly after their second album release.
