Biography
Thomas Reichold, known professionally as Tom Novy, was born on March 10, 1970, in Kaufbeuren, Germany. He began his DJ career in the mid-1980s, securing his first residency at the Babalu Club in Munich. In 1995, Novy released his debut single "I House You" under Kosmo Records, which reached number 10 of the German Dance Charts. His breakthrough came with the single "Superstar", released in 1996, which peaked at number 15 on the Media-Control-Charts and topped charts in 18 other countries. In 1999, his house anthem "I Rock" spent over 20 weeks in the Airplay Top-100. Novy's debut album My Definition was released in 2001, featuring the official Mercedes-Benz Formula-1 track "Welcome to the Race". His single "Take It" became the most played dance number on German radio in 2005. In December of that year, his collaboration with Michael Marshall, "Your Body", entered the UK Top 10 and reached number 15 in over 20 countries. Throughout his career, Novy has remixed and produced for artists such as Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, and Sonique. He has also hosted various TV shows including MTV Germany's Dance Floor Charts and Battle of DJâs.
