Tom McEwan, born Thomas McEwan on August 9, 1940, in Corby, England, is a British-Danish musician and actor. After completing his teacher training at a college in Leicester, he moved to Denmark where he taught from 1968 to 1974. During this period, McEwan began his music career as a drummer in various English and Danish bands, achieving his breakthrough with the rock band Culpeperâs Orchard. In the early 1970s, he joined the band Klyderne, where he met Jesper Klein and Jess Ingerslev. Together, they formed the musical comedy trio Avocets in 1974. McEwan's acting career spanned numerous Danish film and television productions, including notable roles in Bryggeren, Torvet, and Nissebanden i Grønland. He was awarded the Robert Prize for Best Supporting Actor in 1990 for his role in the 1989 film Ã
