Biography

Tia Gostelow, born in Mackay, Queensland, Australia, is an Indigenous Australian singer-songwriter. She spent her early years in Groote Eylandt before returning to Mackay for high school. At age 16, Gostelow wrote "State of Art", released as her debut single in February 2016 on Lovely Records. The song received airplay on Triple J and won the station's 2016 Indigenous Initiative. In September 2018, she released her debut studio album Thick Skin, which was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2019 National Indigenous Music Awards. Gostelow made Australian history by being the youngest winner of Album of the Year at the 2019 Queensland Music Awards. In October 2020, she released her second studio album Chrysalis. Her third studio album, Head Noise, was released in August 2023.
