Thundamentals are an Australian hip hop group from the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales that formed in 2008. The ensemble was founded by Morgan Jones, Jesse Ferris, Brendan Tuckerman, and Kevin Kerr, and they originally performed under the name Connect 4 before adopting their current moniker. They released their debut eponymous EP Thundamentals (2008) followed by their first studio album, Sleeping on Your Style, (2009). The group achieved success with a recording of the Matt Corby song âBrotherâ (2012), which reached number 49 on the Triple J Hottest 100. Their discography includes the albums Foreverlution (2011), which reached number 64 on the Australian charts, So We Can Remember (2014), and Everyone We Know (2017). In 2016, they established the record label High Depth. Notable tracks released by them include âSomething I Saidâ (2014), which reached number 66 on the national charts, and âSallyâ (2017), which reached number 8 on the Triple J Hottest 100 and earned a triple platinum certification. They subsequently released the albums I Love Songs (2018) and All This Life (2022).
