Biography

Underdog Project was founded in Hamburg in 1999. The dance and Eurodance project is founded by producers Toni Cottura and DJ Frank Ryll. US-American singer Vic Krishna is one of the defining voices. The formation stands for catchy dance-pop between Eurodance, house and R&B elements. The project released the single "Summer Jam" (1999) in its founding year. The track became a hit throughout Europe and reached number 3 in the German singles charts as well as high positions in other European countries. This is followed by singles such as "Saturday Night" (1999) and "Tonight" (2000), which also achieve chart success. 2000 sees the release of the debut album It Doesn't Matter (2000), which bundles the well-known singles and establishes the sound of the project. In the following years, Underdog Project released further tracks and remixes, including reissues of "Summer Jam", which brought the song back into the charts. In 2013, a successful remix version of "Summer Jam" was released , which reached the Top 10 in Germany again.
