Biography

The So So Glos was an American punk rock ensemble formed in 2007 in Brooklyn. The group consisted of Alex Levine, Ryan Levine, Zach Staggers, and Matt Elkin. The band self-released its eponymous debut studio album, The So So Glos, in 2007. The members co-founded the all-ages venue The Market Hotel in 2008. Through the label Green Owl Records, the ensemble released the LP Tourism/Terrorism in 2008, which received the award for Best Punk Album at the 9th Annual Independent Music Awards. The group established the Shea Stadium performance space and recording studio in 2009. The ensemble toured the United States and Europe, performing with acts such as ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Subsequent studio recordings included Blowout (2013) and Kamikaze (2016). In 2022, the group released the recording “This Could Be Christmas” featuring Spider Stacy.
