Biography

The Shondes, an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2006. The group initially gained traction through national tours and self-released their debut LP, The Red Sea, on January 8, 2008. Following the departure of guitarist Ian Brannigan, the band released their second album, My Dear One, in May 2010 on Fanatic Records. They continued to tour extensively, including a European tour in 2012 and a headlining national tour in 2015. The Shondes released several notable albums, including Searchlights (2011), The Garden (2013), and Brighton (2016). Throughout their career, the band has been known for their feminist punk influences and outspoken political views, often performing at benefit events for progressive organizations.
