Biography

The Pack was an American hip‑hop group formed in 2005 in Berkeley, California, comprising rappers Brandon McCartney aka Lil B, DaMonte Johnson aka Lil Uno, Lloyd Omadhebo aka Young L, and Keith Jenkins aka Stunnaman. Their early collaboration began in sixth grade, where the members met over skateboarding and music experimentation, eventually recording together at Young L’s home. The group’s breakthrough came with the 2006 single "Vans", which received extensive West Coast radio play, reached the Billboard Hot 100, and charted on the Billboard Rhythmic chart for twelve weeks. Following this success, The Pack signed to Too Short’s Jive Records imprint Up All Nite and released the EP Skateboards 2 Scrapers on December 19, 2006, featuring a remix of "Vans" with Mistah F.A.B. and Too Short. Their debut studio album, Based Boys, was issued on October 30, 2007, but performed poorly commercially, leading to their departure from Up All Nite. In 2010 the group released their second and final album, Wolfpack Party, under SMC Recordings, and later that year released the single "In My Car" from the album. The Pack disbanded following the 2010 release, and their final single, "Clips Go", appeared in 2018.
