Biography
The Both were an American indie rock duo that formed in 2013. The ensemble consisted of the musicians Aimee Mann and Ted Leo and are famous for their harmonious blend of pop-rock and punk and for the single âMilwaukeeâ (2014). The pair began collaborating during a joint tour in 2012 and performed their first show together in 2013 under the temporary moniker #BOTH. Their discography includes the eponymous debut studio recording The Both (2014), which reached number 59 on the Billboard 200 and number 12 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. They also released the Christmas-themed singles âNothing Left to Do (Let's Make This Christmas Blue)â (2014) and âYou're a Giftâ (2015). Although the duo became inactive in 2016, Mann and Leo later collaborated on the podcast The Art of Process and provided voices for the animated film Steven Universe: The Movie (2019).
