Jason Falkner (June 2, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter, session musician, and producer who launched a solo career after stints in the bands Jellyfish, the Three O’ Clock, and the Grays. His self-produced studio debut Jason Falkner Presents Author Unknown was released in 1996 to great critical acclaim and was followed by Can You Still Feel? (1999) produced with the help of Nigel Godrich. In 2001, Jason Falkner collaborated with French pop duo Air on their album 10 000 Hz Legend and released an instrumental album of Beatles covers. In the following years, he went on to collaborate with artists like Beck, Aimee Mann, and Travis, and even contributed guitar parts to two songs on Paul McCartney’s 2005 Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. Jason Falkner’s third album I’m OK, You’re OK saw the light in 2007 and was followed by a second volume of Beatles instrumentals in 2008. Two years later, he returned with the album All Quiet on the Noise Floor, which was only released officially in Japan. Subsequently, he made appearances on Ariel Pink & R. Stevie Moore’s Ku Klux Glam (2012), Beck’s Morning Phase (2014), and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ Who Built the Moon? (2017) before coming back in 2017 with the R.
