Biography

The Blazers, a rock and roll band from East Los Angeles, were formed in 1994 by Manuel Gonzales and Ruben Guaderrama. The duo, lifelong friends from Theodore Roosevelt High School, laid the foundation for a group that would become influential in the Chicano Rock scene. The Blazers' career began with the release of Short Fuse in 1994, followed by East Side Soul in July 1995. These albums were produced by Cesar of Los Lobos, who recognized their potential and helped shape their unique sound. Throughout their career, The Blazers were signed to various labels including Rounder Records, CRS Records Ltd., and Little Dog Records. Their music influenced many local bands and contributed to the development of East Side Soul or Chicano Rock.
