The Blank Theory were an American hard rock and nu metal band from Chicago, Illinois, active between 1998 and 2004. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the track âNevermindâ (2000), which appeared in a segment of the television series MTV Road Rules. Their recording career began with the self-released extended plays Blinding Process (1999) and Catalyst (2000). After signing with New Line Records, they released the studio recording Beyond the Calm of the Corridor (2002), produced by Adam Schlesinger and James Iha. The recording featured the tracks âSour Timesâ (2002) and âMiddle of Nowhereâ (2002), the latter included on the soundtrack for the film Freddy vs. Jason (2003). Following the departure of members Michael Foderaro, James Knight, and Shawn Currie, vocalist Nathan Leone and bassist Matthew Leone established the group Madina Lake. The ensemble became inactive in 2004.
