Rahem Ross Brown, known professionally as Tame One, was an American rapper from Newark, New Jersey, born on March 20, 1970. He began his music career as part of the rap duo Artifacts with his brother El Da Sensei, releasing their debut album Between a Rock and a Hard Place in 1994. Tame One's solo career started with the release of When Rappers Attack in 2003 under Eastern Conference Records. Subsequent albums include O.G. Bobby Johnson (2005) and Spazmatic (2006). Notable collaborations include work with Cage as Leak Bros on the album Waterworld (2004) and Del the Funky Homosapien on Parallel Uni-Verses. Tame One was also a member of the hip-hop supergroup The Weathermen, formed in 2002 by Cage and El-P. Tame One died from kidney and heart failure on November 6, 2022, at the age of 52.
