Talkdemonic is an American avant-instrumental ensemble from Portland established in 2002. The group consists of the musicians Kevin O'Connor and formerly Lisa Molinaro. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by folktronica and avant-instrumental music. The ensemble was founded by O'Connor as a solo project before Molinaro joined as a full-time member. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Mutiny Sunshine (2004). Talkdemonic achieved professional recognition for receiving the award for Portland's Best New Band 2005 from the publication Willamette Week. Their discography included the extended play Tour EP (2005) and the studio recording Beat Romantic (2006). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing on tours with the ensemble The National and the ensemble The Walkmen. Their recording career included the studio recording Eyes at Half Mast (2008) and the studio recording Ruins (2011) released on the label Glacial Pace Recordings. Talkdemonic achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Various Seasides (2022). Their discography included the studio recording Very Cool Yesterday (2025).
