Biography
Taco Hemingway, born Filip Tadeusz SzczeÅniak on July 29, 1990, in Cairo, Egypt, is a Polish rapper, songwriter, and musician. He began his career under the name Foodvillain, releasing the English-language mixtape Who Killed JFK in 2011. Two years later, he introduced the Taco Hemingway moniker with the EP Young Hems.
His breakthrough came with the Polish-language EPs TrójkÄ
t warszawski (2014) and Umowa o dzieÅo (2015), the latter earning the Fryderyk Award for Best Hip Hop Album. He went on to release a string of successful projects, including Marmur (2016), Szprycer (2017), Café Belga (2018), Pocztówka z WWA, Lato '19 (2019), Jarmark (2020), Europa (2020), 1-800-OÅwiecenie (2023), and Latarnie wszÄdzie dawno zgasÅy (2025). Alongside his solo career, he has also collaborated with Quebonafide as one half of the duo Taconafide.
