Swet Shop Boys is a British-American hip hop group formed in 2014, consisting of the rappers Heems and Riz MC, and the producer Redinho. The group is recognized for incorporating South Asian cultural influences and Sufi poetry into its music. The group's lyrical themes focus on identity, culture, and social issues within the South Asian diaspora. The group released its debut EP, Swet Shop, in 2014 through the label Greedhead Music. This was followed by the group's first studio album, Cashmere, released in October 2016 through Customs. The record features a fusion of traditional elements with contemporary hip hop production. In May 2017, the group issued its second EP, Sufi La. The group has performed at major events, including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
