Biography

Svenson & Gielen were a Belgian trance ensemble active in 1994. The group consisted of the musicians Johan Gielen and Sven Maes. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as trance. Their recording career began under the stage name Body Heat with the track “Waves of Life” (1994). Performing as Airscape, they achieved professional recognition for the tracks “Pacific Melody” (1997) which reached number 27 in the United Kingdom and “L’Esperanza” (1999) which reached number 33. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the track “The Beauty of Silence” (2000). Their recording career included remixes for the tracks “Sparkles” (1999) by Tiësto and “Silence” (1999) by Delerium which reached the top 3 in the United Kingdom. After Maes departed in 2005, Gielen resumed the Airscape project in 2009, and released the track “My Love” (2009).
