Sunset Strippers, an electronic music group from the United Kingdom, was formed in 2004 by Harry Diamond, Sergei Forster-Hall, and Kieron McTernan. Forster-Hall and McTernan met at Northbrook College, where they began collaborating on music projects. The band's breakthrough came with the release of "Falling Stars (Waiting For A Star To Fall)", an electronic track that sampled Boy Meets Girl's 1988 hit song "Waiting for a Star to Fall". This single reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2005 and garnered significant attention, including a sampling battle with Cabin Crew. The success of "Falling Stars" established Sunset Strippers as notable figures in the electronic music scene.
The group's discography includes several albums and EPs, starting with Falling Stars (Waiting For A Star To Fall) released in 2005, which included multiple versions of their hit single. They also released The Sunset Strip Club in February 2013 and Dusk Dip in June 2020. Throughout their career, Sunset Strippers remixed several notable songs, including "Cry Little Sister" by Gerard McMahon and Westlife's "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Their remixes were featured in various media, such as Mitsubishi television advertisements and Ministry of Sound compilations. The group's last release under the Sunset Strippers name was "Step Right Up" in 2008. Following this, Forster-Hall and McTernan continued their music career under the names My Digital Enemy and later MDE, focusing on tech house and deep house music.
