Biography
Such Gold is an American punk rock band from Rochester, New York, formed in 2009. The group's lineup includes Ben Kotin on guitar and vocals, Nate Derby on guitar, Jon Markson on bass and vocals and Matt Covey on drums. Their early releases included the self-released Demo 2009 (2009) and the EP Stand Tall (2009) under Mightier Than Sword Records. In 2010, Such Gold signed to 6131 Records and released their EP Pedestals (2010). The band embarked on extensive tours across the US, Australia, Japan, UK/EU, Canada and Costa Rica, playing festivals such as Bled Fest and SXSW. Such Gold recorded their debut album Misadventures with producer Steve Evetts in Los Angeles, which was released in 2012, reaching number 6 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. The band's discography includes later albums such as The New Sidewalk (2014) and the EP Deep in a Hole (2017).
