Biography
Have Heart, an American straight edge hardcore punk band, was formed in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in 2002. The group consisted of Patrick Flynn on vocals, Ryan Hudon on guitar, and Ryan Briggs on bass. They released their first demo in 2003, which caught the attention of Think Fast! Records, leading to the release of their EP What Counts? in 2004. In 2005, Have Heart signed with Bridge Nine Records and released their debut full-length album, The Things We Carry, in 2006. Their subsequent albums, including Songs to Scream at the Sun (2008), garnered critical acclaim and chart success, peaking at number 193 on the Billboard Top 200. Have Heart disbanded after a final tour in October 2009, culminating in a performance on National Straight Edge Day. Bridge Nine Records released 10.17.09, a live album documenting their last concert in 2010.
