Biography
Stormwarrior is a German metal ensemble formed in 1998 in Hamburg. The group was established by Lars Ramcke and André Schumann. Influenced by the 1980s metal scene, the band released the demo recordings Metal Victory in 1999 and Barbaric Steel in 2000. Stormwarrior signed with Remedy Records and released its eponymous debut studio album, Stormwarrior, in 2002. The group released the EP Heavy Metal Fire in 2003 and the studio album Northern Rage in 2004. After signing with Dockyard 1, the ensemble released the recording Heading Northe in 2008. Stormwarrior performed at events including Wacken Open Air and Earthshaker Fest. Its discography included the studio recordings Heathen Warrior (2011), Thunder & Steele (2014), and Norsemen (2019). Yenz Leonhardt and Falko Reshöft returned to the band in 2019.
