Stefan Obermaier, born on January 8, 1981, in Salzburg, Austria, is an Austrian electronic musician, producer, and DJ. He received his first electronic keyboard at age five and began playing in funk and jazz projects during the early 1990s. In 1997 and 1998, he won the Austrian Band Contest with his school band for his original compositions. After moving to Vienna in 2001 to study music science, he left the university after four semesters upon signing his first record contract with Universal Music to focus on his music. His initial releases under his own name were through the Viennese label Vienna Scientists. His "Classic Reloaded" project, which earned him three golden and one platinum award, includes the albums Beethoven Reloaded (2008), Mozart Reloaded (2012), and Fusion (2021). In 2012, he co-founded the label imprint Drift Recordings with Zwetelina Angelova, releasing the single "Traveler" (2012). His discography also includes the albums This Vibe (2018) and The Exchange (2019).
