Biography

Steady Mobb'n was an American hip hop duo from West Oakland, California, composed of Crooked Eye and Billy Bathgate. The group released their first cassette EP, Blood Money, in 1995. In 1997, Steady Mobb'n signed with No Limit Records and collaborated with Master P on the single "If I Could Change", which appeared on the soundtrack for I'm Bout It. Their debut album, Pre-Meditated Drama, was released that same year, peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 200. The duo's follow-up albums, Black Mafia (1998) and Crime Buddies (2001), saw diminishing chart success. In 2003, Steady Mobb'n released their final album, Espionage, before disbanding.
