Biography

Born in Leicester on June 22, 1997 and based in London, musician and singer Sophie Claire Howes has taken SOFY as her stage name. Taking advantage of the confinement caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, she began to write songs such as "Strawberry Milkshake", which she posted on her social networks in 2021, then produced the diptych Bored in Colour Pt. 1 & 2 (2022), bringing together all her tracks. At the end of 2023, the singer, backed by a live band, released her debut album Chaos & Commotion, on the Chess Club label. The alternative tone of her pop songs is rooted in various musical currents, as evidenced by Another Day in Paradise, released in 2025. Meanwhile, 2024 saw the release of the single "Big Talk", featured on the soundtrack of the soccer video game FIFA 23.
