Biography

British model, actor, and singer Alice Suki Waterhouse was born in Hammersmith, London on 5 January 1992. She began modelling at 16 after being scouted in a high street clothes store and commenced her acting career shortly after, landing small screen roles in the television series Material Girl before graduating to film and appearing in the 2014 Christian Ditter-directed romantic comedy Love, Rosie. Over the next few years, she appeared in an array of films, from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to Absolutely Fabulous, the Movie while simultaneously beginning to build up a career as a musician, releasing her first single in 2016, "Brutally." A string of other singles arrived over the next few years, including 2017's "Good Looking” (which charted at number 92 in the UK), 2018's “Valentine,” 2019's “Coolest Place in the World” and "Johanna" and 2021's “My Mind” and “Moves.” Her debut album for Sub Pop, I Can't Let Go, emerged in 2022. She released the follow-up, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, in 2024. The 18-track LP, which also came out via Sub Pop, was driven by lead single “Supersad."
