Slaves on Dope, a Canadian nu metal band from Montreal, Quebec, was formed in 1993 by Jason Rockman, Kevin Jardine, and Avrum Nadigel. The group underwent significant lineup changes, with Frank Salvaggio and Robert Urbani joining in 1995, marking a shift towards a heavier metal sound. In 2000, the band released their album Inches from the Mainline through Divine Recordings, selling approximately 70,000 copies in the United States. The band toured at Ozzfest in the same year and made an appearance on the SnoCore Tour. Following contractual issues, Slaves on Dope returned to Montreal and later signed with Bieler Bros. Records, releasing Metafour in 2003. The band disbanded in 2004 after Rockman's departure but reformed in 2009, releasing Over the Influence in 2012.
