Flaw, an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky, was formed in 1996 when vocalist Chris Volz responded to a newspaper advertisement placed by guitarist Jason Daunt. The pair quickly began writing material together, completing their first song, "Inner Strength." In 1997, bassist Ryan Jurhs joined the group, and the band recorded its debut independent album, American Arrogance (1998). The bandâs early releases led to a deal with Republic and Universal Music Group in 2000. Their first major-label album, Through the Eyes, was released in 2001, peaking at number 119 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. In 2004, Flaw released their second major-label album, Endangered Species, in 2004. After multiple breakups and lineup changes, the band reunited in 2015 and returned to touring and recording, leading to the release of Divided We Fall in 2016.
