Silvertide is an American hard rock ensemble from Philadelphia established in 2001. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by hard rock and blues rock and for being originally named Vertigo. The ensemble was founded by vocalist Walt Lafty and guitarist Nick Perri. Their recording career began with the debut extended play American Excess (2002) followed by the debut studio recording Show and Tell (2004) produced by the musician David Ivory. The recording featured the hit single âAin't Comin' Homeâ which reached number 6 on the US Mainstream Rock chart and the single âBlue Jeansâ (2005) which reached number 12. Silvertide achieved professional recognition for the single âDevil's Daughterâ (2005) which reached number 18 and performing as a support act for Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, and Mötley Crüe. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for appearing in the movie Lady in the Water (2006) and recording covers of the song âMaggie's Farmâ and the song âIt Ain't Me, Babeâ by Bob Dylan. Silvertide became inactive in 2009 and achieved professional recognition for resuming activity in 2012. Their recording career included the single âTry, Try, Tryâ (2014)
