Biography

The Exies is an American post-grunge and alternative rock group from Los Angeles, formed in 1997. Founded by vocalist Scott Stevens, bassist Freddy Herrera, and drummer Thom Sullivan, the group’s name was inspired by a biography of John Lennon. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2000. In 2003, the group released the album Inertia, featuring the recording "My Goddess", which reached number 12 on the US Modern Rock chart. The band released the album Head for the Door in 2004. The recording "Ugly" reached number 11 on the US Mainstream Rock chart and served as the theme for the event Survivor Series 2004. After signing with Eleven Seven Music, the band released the album A Modern Way of Living with the Truth in 2007. The group became inactive in 2010 but resumed activity in 2023 with the recording "Spirits High". The band released the EP Closure in 2024.
