Cinder Road is an American rock band from Lutherville, Maryland, United States. Formerly known as Plunge, the band changed their name to Cinder Road and took the name from the street where they grew up. They toured extensively up and down the eastern seaboard from Canada to Key West, and also performed on multiple overseas trips to Europe and Southeast Asia for the Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) network, including shows in Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, Guam, as well as remote locations such as Greenland and the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. In early 2007, Cinder Road began a four-month sold-out tour with Chris Daughtry, and later toured with artists including Alice Cooper, Candlebox, Sick Puppies, Tesla, Flyleaf, Hurt, Red, and Puddle of Mudd. After catching the attention of Union Entertainment Group, Cinder Road signed with EMI and worked with producer Marti Fredriksen on Superhuman, released in 2007.
