Biography

Emphatic, an American hard rock band from Omaha, was founded by guitarist-songwriter Justin McCain in 2004. The band released their debut self-titled EP and full-length album Emphatic in 2004 and 2005 respectively. In 2011, Emphatic signed with Atlantic Records and released their major label debut Damage, which reached number 9 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The band's subsequent album Another Life was released in 2013 and climbed to number 8 on the same chart. Notable singles include "Put Down the Drink" (2011) and "Get Paid" (2011). Emphatic toured extensively, supporting acts such as Halestorm and Art of Dying. In December 2015, Justin McCain announced a name change for the band, continuing their musical journey under the new moniker Through Fire.
