Biography

Side Brok, a Norwegian rap group from Ãrsta in western Norway, became active in 2000. The group consists of members Sjef R (Runar Gudnason), SkatebÃ¥rd (BÃ¥rd Aasen LÃ¸demel), Oddgeir "Odd G" Kristensen, and Knut SÃ¦vik. Side Brok's early releases included the EP Side Brok (2002) and their debut album HÃ¸ge Brelle (2004), which marked a significant breakthrough in their career. The group received the Nynorsk User of the Year award in 2004, recognizing their use of Nynorsk to break language and cultural conventions. Subsequent releases include Side Brooklyn EP (2005), Kar me kjÃ¸me frÃ¥ (2006), and Ekte Menn (2009).
