Biography

Sibéal Ní Chasaide, known mononymously as Sibéal, is an Irish singer from Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht, County Meath. Born in 1998, she specializes in the centuries-old melismatic Irish singing style of sean-nós. Her breakthrough moment came with her performance of "Mise Éire" by Patrick Cassidy at the official government commemorations of the 1916 Rising. Sibéal released her debut album Sibéal in 2019. She also collaborated with The Cranberries on an Irish-language cover of their song "Linger" titled "Fuarú". Sibéal's work has been featured in various media, including the film Ooops! The Adventure Continues (2020) and television shows such as 1916 Centenary (2016). Her live album Sibéal – Live at Abbey Road Studios, released in 2019, further showcased her talent.
