Biography

Áine Furey, born in Ireland, is a singer and actress. She is the daughter of uileann piper Finbar Furey and sister of Martin Furey. In 1992, Áine and Martin founded the band Bohinta, which gained significant traction with their top-ten hit in France from the album Excalibur, featuring Jean Reno as Merlin. The band released two albums: Sessions and Belladonna. Áine's solo career includes the album Sweetest Summer Rain, released in 1999. She has also collaborated with her brother Martin on various releases, including duets and accompaniments. Additionally, she is featured on compilation albums such as Celtic Woman and Celtic Woman 2. Áine Furey graduated from University College Cork.
