Claire Sproule, born April 9, 1984, in Derry, Northern Ireland, is a singer-songwriter from County Donegal. She began writing her own songs at age 14 and initially performed Eva Cassidy covers in local pubs before recording a demo that secured her a joint deal with Parlophone in Europe and Blue Note in the United States. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2005, produced by Stewart Levine, and featured songs written in her late teens. Following its release, she appeared on various Irish television and radio programs. Her second album, Shades Of Night, was released in 2008. Notable singles include âWonderingâ and âFlame.â Sproule toured with Paulo Nutini on his first UK tour and supported artists such as Al Green at the Royal Albert Hall and Mary Black.
