Biography

Show Me the Body, an American hardcore band from New York City, was formed in 2009 by Julian Cashwan Pratt, Harlan Steed, and Jack McDermott. Their early shows were held in unconventional venues such as under bridge overpasses and basements. In 2014, they released their debut EP Yellow Kidney independently on SoundCloud, which caught the attention of Loma Vista Records. This led to the release of their self-titled EP S M T B in April 2015. Their debut album, Body War, was released in July 2016 and explored themes such as anti-capitalism, gentrification, and police brutality. Show Me the Body's third album, Dog Whistle, was inspired by their visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in Poland and was released on March 29, 2019. Their third album, Trouble the Water, was released on October 28, 2022.
