Shoko Kitano (born May 17, 1982 in Tokyo) is a Japanese singer and actress, known for her J-Pop and rock-based music. In the same year, she sang the theme song for the TV drama "Roses and Greenery. In the same year, she released "Roses and Greens " and gained popularity with her clear voice and rock-oriented sound. Known as the eldest daughter of her father, Beat Takeshi, she has made her own presence in music, winning the Best New Artist Award at the 40th Japan Record Awards in 1998.
