Biography

Shawn Chrystopher Garrett II, known as Shawn Chrystopher, was born on July 22, 1986, in Inglewood, California. He is an American rapper and music producer who began his musical journey by playing over five different instruments during grade school. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut mixtape I.W.G.: I Wear Glasses in 2008, which was sponsored by LRG clothing. In March 2010, he released The Audition EP, hosted by DJs Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. His third full-length album You, And Only You (2010) received critical acclaim and featured the hit single "Catch Me If You Can". Shawn Chrystopher collaborated with various artists including Timbaland, Yelawolf, Mike Posner, Big Sean, N.O.R.E., Owl City, and Dom Kennedy.
