Biography

Shaman's Harvest was formed in Jefferson City, Missouri, during the post-grunge heyday of 1996. Frontman Nathan "Drake" Hunt, bassist Matt Fisher, and guitarist Josh Hamler spent several years fashioning the band's sound from a combination of hard rock and alt-metal influences, then made their national debut with Last Call For Goose Creek in 1999. 2002's Synergy and 2006's March of the Bastards followed. Released in 2009, Shine peaked at Number 41 on the American Heatseekers Albums chart, marking the band's first time appearing on the Billboard charts. Its success was driven in part by the radio single "Dragonfly," which rose to Number 18 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart and Number 34 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. After signing with Mascot Label Group, the band released Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns in 2014 and climbed to Number 23 on the Hard Rock Albums chart. Four of the album's singles cracked the Mainstream Rock Top 40, with "In Chains" climbing all the way to Number 12. 2017's Red Hands Black Deeds fared similarly well, peaking at Number 1 on Heatseekers Albums, Number 20 on Hard Rock Albums, and Number 56 on Top Albums Sales. In 2021, Shaman's Harvest earned its eighth Top 40 hit on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart with "Voices," a track from the band's forthcoming 2022 release, Rebelator.
