Born Nicolas Salvadori, rapper Seth Gueko was born in Saint-Ouen l'Aumône (Val d'Oise) on October 27, 1980. Seth Gueko has carved out his own niche, positioning himself as a champion of the Romani people and gangster culture. Starting with Mains Sales, his first EP in 2003, he raps that âthe gadjos shouldnât get in our way.â His fascination with a certain brand of gangster culture led him to proclaim himself âthe hidden son of Jacques Messâ on *Les Fils de Jacques Mess* in 2008. *La Chevalière* in 2009 cemented his place among the greats of Francophone rap. Michto in 2011 confirmed the stature of âthe friend of the carnival workers.â In 2012, Seth Gueko, Al K-Pote, and Zekwé Ramos came together on the album *Game* by the Néochrome Hall Stars. With *Bad Cowboy* in May 2013, Seth Gueko cemented his status as the outlaw of French rap more than ever. On his next album, released two years later, he established himself as a pillar of the scene by proclaiming himself âProfessor Punchline.â With the same confidence, he emphasized his transgressive image by titling his next album Barlou (2016), followed by Destroy (2019). Between numerous appearances on various projects, the Paris-area rapper has surrounded himself with new collaborators such as Youssoupha, Benjamin Epps, Le Rat Luciano, Kofs, Akhenaton, Sat lâArtificier, Da Uzi, Tovaritch, Roi Heenok, and Caballero & Jeanjass for the album Mange Tes Morts (2022). Four years later, Saint Sauveur was released, featuring collaborations with Lacrim, 404billy, Dinos, Perso, Big Twins, X-Men, and Jungle Jack, as well as Faf Larage and Akhenaton.
