Biography
Born Nourredine Bahri in Orléans in 1987, Niro made his mark in 2007 with the street album Niroshima III , featuring Six Coups MC and Seth Gueko. The first artist to be signed to the Street Lourd label, Niro was back in the spotlight in 2011 with the track "Fenwick " on Booba's Autopsie 4 mixtape. While his debut album Paraplégique (No. 53) was released on June 18, 2012, Niro was apprehended during the Fête de la Musique and incarcerated to serve a five-month sentence. Having paid his debt to society, Niro responds in the best possible way with the success of the album Rééducation in 2013 (n° 13). The following year saw the release of Miraculé (no. 6), featuring a duet with Kaaris. In 2015, five single releases followed before the release of Si Je Me Souviens (no. 11). The strategy for its successor was very different, as Or Game (n° 17) was released on May 26, 2016 without any announcement. After a redemptive track, "Mama t'avais raison" (n° 53), Niro took no time at all, delivering a new album at the end of the year, entitled Les Autres (n° 18). With the same eagerness, he recorded his seventh album, OX7 (n° 9), in just seven days and chose a symbolic day for the release: July 7, 2017. Just two weeks later, when OX7 had already sold almost 10,000 copies, Niro announced the release of a new opus, M8RE (No. 6). In April 2018, he released a new album entitled Mens Rea (No. 4), which means "criminal mind" in Latin, then a year later Stupéfiant (No. 22), with contributions from SCH, Maes, Alonzo and Nino B. As prolific as ever, the rapper added a new album to his discography in July 2020, Sale Môme (No. 4), released without any warning, much to the surprise of fans, who quickly became familiar with "Chiffres de ventes", "Wari" and "Boeing" . In early 2023, Niro delivered the Taulier project, featuring duets with ElGrandeToto, Tayc, TIG, Niska, Alpha Wann and Sofiane Pamart. Two years later, the first instalment of his Hayati project, Du Sable et du Sang, reaches number 6 in the SNEP charts, includes the hit "Plus pareil" with Gazo, and also features Potter Payper, Naza, Flenn, Lwind, TIG and Massine.
