Biography
Ol Kainry is a voice, like a hoarse, menacing breath, Ol Kainry is one of the French proponents of hardcore rap. Since his debut with the group Agression Verbale in 1996, he has multiplied his projects and collaborations. He has been a member of Facteur X since 1999, and has also released solo albums. Au-Delà des Apparences (2001), Les Chemins de la Dignité (2004) , Ol Kainry & Dany Dan (2005) and Demolition Man (2007) show the strength of this French emulator of 50 Cent and his powerful rap. In 2010, Iron Mic 2.0, the latest release from a reworked album, does nothing to buck the trend. The rapper opens up his world to Youssoupha, Mike Kenli and Oxmo Puccino on Dyfrey in September 2013. Ol Kainry reunited with Dany Dan for Saison 2 in 2014. Two years later, he returns with Superman Noir, an album conceived with a smaller committee, as this time he welcomes no guests.
