Biography

Servando and Florentino, two of four siblings born to the late singer-songwriter, musician, and political activist Alí Primera (1941-1985), have etched a remarkable path in Latin American music. Starting their journey with the Venezuelan salsa group Salserín, they achieved early fame, leading to their eventual departure from the band in 1997. This pivotal year also saw their alliance with Ricardo Montaner's label, Hecho a Mano, yielding their first albums, Los Primera (1997) and Muchacho solitario (1999), and a series of collaborative works, culminating in their third album Paso a Paso (2000) in partnership with Sony Music. Their departure from Hecho a Mano in 2002 led to the release of their self-titled fourth studio album Servando & Florentino in 2004, which saw a global release two years later. Their last album to date, Se Acabó, launched in 2010, featured the hit single "Me vas a recordar." Following a brief hiatus, they marked their return with the streaming event En Tu Cuarto, leading to the successful En tu Ciudad tour across over 15 countries. In 2023, they re-entered the musical arena with "Mi Primera Cita," signaling a promising new chapter in their career, continuing with the title track "Linares" in 2024.
