CASCADE, a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Japan in 1993 with a unique sound heavily influenced by new wave music. The original lineup consisted of Tama on vocals, Masashi on guitar, Hiroshi on drums, Kagemary on synth, and Miyuki on bass. Their musical journey began with the release of their first single, "Narikiri Bonnie and Clyde", in September, 1996. This was followed by several mini CDs, including Oh Yeah Baby, released in March 1997. The band's debut album, Viva!, arrived in November, 1995, marking a significant milestone in their career. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, CASCADE achieved notable chart success with singles such as "S.O.S Romantic" (April, 1998), which reached number 17 on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart, and "Flowers of Romance" (August, 1998), which peaked at number 5. Their album 8060=98, released in June, 1998, reached number 6 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart. CASCADE also contributed to Japanese anime soundtracks with songs like "Congracche", the ninth ending theme of Kindaichi Case Files. The band disbanded in August 2002 but reunited in 2008 and released their album Vivo in April 2009, marking a significant return after six years. Their song "S.O.S Romantic" was covered by Mix Speaker's Inc. on the compilation Crush! -90's V-Rock Best Hit Cover Songs- (January, 2011). As their debut 30th Anniversary album, they released Nebura Makura on September 24, 2025.
