GODLAND is a Japanese rock unit formed by two iconic vocalists: BAKI of ex-GASTUNK and MORRIE of DEAD END and Creature Creature. Built around a twin-vocal format, the project merges their distinct yet complementary voices into a dark, weighty, and refined sound marked by intensity and forward momentum. Their music combines heavy rock foundations with an almost theatrical sense of atmosphere, creating a sonic landscape that feels both aggressive and meticulously crafted. Since its inception, GODLAND has featured prominent support musicians, including SUGIZO, underscoring the project’s stature within Japan’s rock community. In November 2024, they launched a series of three consecutive singles, beginning with “The …,” signaling a renewed creative phase. In 2025, GODLAND appeared at LUNATIC FEST 2025, further expanding their live presence with support from bassist Koji Ueno and drummer Eiji Kikuchi of THE YELLOW MONKEY. In April 2026, the unit released its first full-length album, GODLAND, solidifying its identity as a fully realized project. The album captures their signature blend of darkness and propulsion while highlighting the chemistry between BAKI and MORRIE. Following the release, they announced the “DARKLAND TOUR 2026” across Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, continuing their dynamic evolution.
