Biography

Sarah Jane Buxton, born July 3, 1980, in Lawrence, Kansas, is an American country music singer. She started her musical journey as a child, learning piano, playing flute, and joining a children's choir. In 2006, Buxton signed with Lyric Street Records and released her debut single "Innocence," followed by "That Kind of Day" in 2007. Both were included on her five-song digital extended play Almost My Record. Her song "Stupid Boy" was covered by Keith Urban on his album Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, reaching number 3 on the country charts in 2007. Buxton released her self-titled debut studio album Sarah Buxton on February 23, 2010. Following Lyric Street Records' closure in April 2010, she formed a duo called Buxton Hughes with Jedd Hughes, but they parted ways less than a year later.
