Biography

Jessica Andrews is a country singer from Arkansas who discovered her talent from an early age, having won a fourth-grade talent show singing Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You' and going on to sing at various events around her home state. After being discovered by producer Byron Gallimore, she impressed DreamWorks records enough to sign a record deal at the age of 15, releasing her debut album 'Heart Shaped World' in March 1999. The following year she had her first US country number one single 'Who I Am', taken from her album of the same name. It also appeared on many US television shows like 'Lizzie McGuire' and 'Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye'. The album was certified gold, and Andrews toured with Tim McGraw around the USA. The release of third album 'Now' (2003) failed to replicate the wide mainstream success of its predecessor, but Andrews still had chart success with her duet with Bret Michaels of Poison on the track 'All I Ever Needed', taken from his country album 'Freedom of Sound' (2005). After DreamWorks dissolved, Andrews signed with Lyric Street Records subsidiary Carolwood Records. However, her bad luck continued and the label folded before releasing her already-recorded album. After getting engaged to fellow country musician Marcel Chagnon in 2010, Geffen Records released Andrews' first Greatest Hits album 'More Than Miles'.
