Edens Edge, a contemporary country group from the United States of America, was formed in 2006 by Hannah Blaylock (lead vocals), Dean Berner (vocals, guitar, Dobro), and Cherrill Green (vocals, mandolin, banjo, guitar), all natives of Arkansas. In 2006 and the trio relocated to Nashville in 2007 after winning a CMT-sponsored contest that connected them with songwriter Kye Fleming. Their breakthrough came with the release of the Edens Edge EP on 24⯠Mayâ¯, 2011 under Big Machine Records, featuring the single "Amen" which entered number 20 of the country charts; the EP was followed by the fullâlength Edens Edge album on 12⯠Juneâ¯, 2012, which included the singles "Too Good To Be True" and "O Holy Night", the latter issued on 22 â¯October, â¯2012. The group toured extensively across the United States during this period, promoting the album and building a regional fan base. In March⯠2013, Edens Edge announced their departure from Big Machine Records and the subsequent exit of Hannah Blaylock, leading to the groupâs dissolution; no further releases followed, and the band ceased activity in 2013. The trioâs charting singles and association with a major label remain the primary milestones of their brief but notable contribution to contemporary country music.
