Biography

rumania montevideo is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 1998 by sister and brother Mami Miyoshi (vocals, from Osaka, Japan) and Makoto Miyoshi (guitar, from Osaka, Japan). They released their first indie mini album " Jet Plane " in March 1999, followed by the cassette tapes "Picnic" and "Half Moon," and made their major label debut on April 14, 1999, with the single "Still for your love. The song was used as the ending theme for the TV anime "Detective Conan" and became a smash hit, reaching No. 9 on the Oricon charts. In January 2025, they will release their fourth album, "F " BETTER TRACKS, their first album in 23 years. In January 2025, they released their 4th album "FLEX", their first album in 23 years, exclusively at live venues. In addition, on April 14, 2026, they released the single "PLANETS" for distribution.
